Instant messaging giant WhatsApp is currently facing a series of technical issues, significantly impacting user privacy settings and connectivity.
Automatic Privacy Setting Changes
Users have reported that their "Last Seen" privacy setting has been unexpectedly altered from its previous state, often "My Contacts," to "Nobody." This change occurred without any prior notification, leading to frustration among the user base. Consequently, other users, including their contacts, are now unable to view their "Last Seen" status.
Connectivity and Status Visibility Issues
Beyond the privacy setting changes, users are also encountering difficulties with the service's core functionalities. Many are unable to see the online status of their contacts, which is a fundamental feature for understanding contact availability. Furthermore, some users have reported problems connecting to the WhatsApp service and experiencing issues during the login process.
Failed Attempts to Revert Settings
